It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain! I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see beauty even when it's not pretty, every day, and if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, "Yes!"

It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up, after a night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you, from the inside, when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

Don't waste my time or yours.

I'm honestly nervous.  This is my first feature film and I am honestly nervous.  I have been encouraged to stay in a quiet space and meditate.  Get into character.  Deeply into character.  This is the part where I should confidently smile and say I am ready.  Am I? 

Can you ever really be ready for something you've been anticipating for a long period of time?  It's unknown.  It's intimidating.  It's an honor.

This is going to be quite an experience.  I am sure of that.  I suppose instead of contemplating and sharing my feelings I should be meditating.

I am in a place of really coming into the overwhelming knowledge that I don't need to be anything for anyone.  I don't need to tell a lie to get ahead or to run away.  I don't need to compete with you to show my worth.  I don't need to desperately hold my pillow waiting for you to return. 

Because I am a stronger woman because I am me.  Everything I've been and am now and will ever be is simply me.  It's enough.  At times to much.  I know me and that' enough.

I've been patiently waiting to meet Tristan Prettyman. How ironic that she would walk into Mezcal, a cool hang out spot in Denver, where I was spending time with a friend I haven't seen in a while. My heart started pounding and I couldn't focus on our conversation. I had to get up and meet her. Except under circumstances like that I get really nervous and shy. So Tracy so kindly stepped in and brought her to me. She is so beautiful and her music spins my passions.

It's always been the simple things that mean the most to me.  The things that didn't cost anything.  The people you wait for.  Or the moments that you never imagined happening.  I have to admit that I am not a very patient person.  Some things just can't or shouldn't be forced.  That's the magic of life really.  Going with the flow of it all.  Meeting Tristan was such a big deal to me you have no idea. I was about to fly to CA to see her and she showed up right in front of me.  Plus I got to have a drink and hang out with the band.  Not a bad night.

I'm often asked to listen to a thought or hear a story.  I am known for keeping a secret to the death and have a very open mind.  Today I was told about a dream.  A dream made to haunt a mind.  It was also written as an everlasting reminder.  I liked it.  Maybe you will too.

I caught American Idol the other night for the first time this season.  The contestants had to sing the songs of The Beatles.  I couldn't have caught a better challenge.  Jason Castro definitely caught my fancy but Carly Smithson and Amanda Overmyer pushed me over the edge.  I'm hooked.
